These Days When A Gospel Artist Sings, You Don’t Even Feel The Anointing – DKB

Comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney is continuing his one man war against the gospel industry with more comments outlining what he sees as a rot in the industry. DKB was one of the few to stand up for George Quaye when the issue of bribery allegations came up, thus earning him little love from the pissed off gospel fraternity.

But DKB is not baking down and has unleashed some more attacks against gospel stars. Speaking on Hitz Fm, DKB said envy and greed is more prevalent among gospel stars than artists in other genres, and it makes him wonder even if they are really ordained by God.

He said the situation has gotten so bad that these days when a gospel artist sings, you do not feel any anointing emanating from them. “There are so many negative things being said about gospel musicians that they have to work on their own life and how they will be able to keep themselves clean.” he told Franky5 on Hitz Fm.

“There are so many mischievous things gospel musicians do those secular musicians won’t even think about. Sometimes I even ask myself are these people really ordained by God?

“They should keep themselves clean and make the gospel genre more respectful and less scandalous genre. Some of the things I heard were very bad. He added: “Even these days you hear gospel music and you don’t feel the anointing.”
