Details have emerged about how the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, on his to Ghana on Thursday hid his face in a hoodie to avoid been recognised.
According to sources, he arrived with a bushy hair and an unkempt moustache in the company of Dubai Interpol.
Per the insider, NAM1 was spotted wearing an ash sweatsuit with a hood, with which he covered his face to avoid being recognized
His hands were handcuffed behind him when he arrived at the Kotoka International Airport via Emirates Airline flight EK787 at 10.58 a.m. on Thursday.
NAM1 was arrested in Dubai in December 2018 in connection with an alleged fraudulent gold deal and has since been in the Custody of Dubai authorities while an Interpol alert is also placed on him by Ghana officials.
It was gathered in April 2019 that the embattled CEO of gold trading firm Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has won his court case in Dubai after months of been held there for his trial.
upon his arrival, he was whisked by the security personnel from Interpol Ghana and the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) as he is set to spend few days in custody to answer some questions regarding his dealings with Menzgold and Dubai court case.
Meanwhile, State prosecutors are alleging that the CEO of controversial gold dealership firm, Menzgold defrauded about 16,000 people of GH¢1.68 billion on the name of investing their monies.
