Did Merqury Quaye Suggest Bulldog, Black Cedi & Other Artist Managers Are Errand Boys?

Merqury Quaye has made a very profound statement, albeit controversial in a new interview with Homebase TV about the main role of artist managers in Ghana.

In his view, most of these managers are just errand boys who are used as puppets by their influential artists.

According to him, management involves actually directing, shaping and building someone.

He added that for someone to be qualified as an artiste manager, he should be the mastermind behind everything the artiste does.

He said, “Everything that people see must come from the manager’s view point”.

Merqury then drops the controversial part by saying the only management he identifies with in the industry are Lynx Entertainment and Rufftown Records.

This unavoidably tells you the likes of Bulldog and Black Cedi who manage Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are errand boys too.

Merqury Quaye is a Ghanaian MC, music producer, voiceover artiste, DJ, singer and broadcaster.
