Some NDC supporters and Ghanaians are pushing for the disqualification of Awutu Senya East MP Mavis Hawa Koomson and Ablekuma West MP Ursula Owusu Ekuful when they appear before parliament for vetting.
President Akufo-Addo a day ago released the list of persons he believes are fit to serve in his government as Ministers and Regional Ministers.
This list was met with some shock when Hawa Koomson’s name was included in the list especially when she was held for the violence that characterized the 2020 voter registration exercise in her constituency where she was accused of shooting sporadically into a crowd.
With Ursula Owusu Ekuful, many believe she has exercised some level of rudeness towards fellow MPs and other government appointees through her hot temper and uncontrolled utterances.
Some Ghanaians were looking forward to seeing the president omit Hawa Koomson and Ursula Owusu from the list of potential candidates for ministerial appointments.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Hawa Koomson and Ursula Owusu Ekuful have been nominated for the Fisheries and Communications ministries respectively and these Ghanaians or NDC supporters are calling on parliament to disqualify them based on the aforementioned reasons amongst others.
