Ghanaian comedian DKB has applauded Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale after he organised an online concert for his fans in Ghana and across the globe.
The virtual concert dubbed “FAITH CONCERT” was held for his fans around the globe, and it was broadcasted live on YouTube and Facebook for his fans to have a feel of him during the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi lockdown.
After the concert, the Ministry of Information yesterday launched the GH COVID-19 Tracker mobile application and it was also held online emulating Shatta Wale who was the first to ever bring up the idea of a virtual concert in Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to DKB, authorities who have always tried to sideline Shatta Wale whose ideas have always impacted positively in the music industry and yesterday’s concert by the MoI was no exception.
After the concert, other brands have decided to follow suit including corporate and government organizations.
Taking to social media to react after the concert, DKB wrote; “Imagine how our showbiz industry will progress if only we listen to the boy Shatta wale(shatta movement) & what he does, but no, we claim he likes insulting…This #FaithConcert concept the Gov’t is emulating wasn’t it from the same insulting guy? Smh…Listen to the message, not the messenger”.
