The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nurudeen Fuseini, has cautioned Ghanaians and especially supporters of the NDC not to attempt to apply to join any of the security services.
The security services: Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Prisons Service have opened applications to recruit eligible Ghanaians to join the services.
However, Nurudeen Fuseini has intimated that only members of the NPP have the privilege and right to take part in the recruitment exercise. According to him, any other party member who tries to get into the security services will just be embarking on a hot goose chase…nothing will come out of it.
Speaking at a local radio station in the region, Nurudeen Fuseini charged NPP supporters to apply even if they do not qualify because the government will ensure that they are recruited. As for members of NDC, the earlier they stop applying the better it will be for them.
“As you are aware, recruitment for the security services is currently underway. I encourage all members of the party to submit their applications. We will fish you out and remove your application if you have ever come out as an NDC supporter to criticize the NPP.’
“I have to be completely honest with you,” he continued. “As a regional party, we will disregard so-called due process and apply our set of party rules because we are in power.”
