Casper Ruud is a Norwegian professional tennis player. Ruud has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2, achieved on 12 September 2022, making him the highest-ranked Norwegian tennis player in history.

As of the French Open and US Open finals in 2022, Ruud is the first Norwegian male to have won an ATP singles title, advanced to a Masters 1000 final, and reached the top 20 of the ATP rankings.

Ruud and Durasovic were defeated 3-2 by Lithuania in the opening round of the 2016 Davis Cup. They defeated Luxembourg 3-2 in the playoffs to maintain their place in Group Two’s Europe/Africa Zone.

Because of modifications to the Davis Cup system, Norway remained in Group Two Europe/Africa Zone in 2017 and 2018 until defeating Georgia in their 2019 tie to earn a spot in the Davis Cup playoff for World Group I.
