Don Jazzy Discloses Why He Didn’t Come To The VGMAs| He Says He Pities Charter House

We had expected Don Jazzy to be at the 2015 VGMAs but unfortunately he wasn’t at the event, although he had been nominated in the Best African Artiste Category together with Tiwa Savage who is also under his record label “Mavin Records”

We never knew Charter House, the organisers of the VGMA had wanted Don Jazzy to come to the event, but had failed in getting him to come.

A fan of Don Jazzy, tweeted asking him, why he couldn’t make it to Ghana and his reply in a tweet is utterly surprising. The hit maker tweeted saying “my team large. e no easy for Edem to fly 10 people na. I pity them”

It’s quite obvious Charter House had attempted to get him to come to Ghana, but when they realised they would have to be paying plane tickets and booking hotels for 10 people, they freaked out and decided to forget about him.

Of course, Charter House has made it clear that, they don’t pay foreign artistes they nominate to come perform or even come to the event, but then what they normally do is to bear all costs in bringing the person into the country and making sure, they enjoy their stay.

So, all Charter House needed to do was to just pay the plane tickets for Don Jazzy and his team to come to Ghana, but it just didn’t happen. It would have been great to have Don Jazzy and his team at the award event.

I doubt they would  not have spent more than Ghc15,000 in buying tickets for his team. They must have thought it was ridiculous to buy 10 tickets when you just need one person here.

We would try to get to Charter House to hear their part of the story. will keep you posted on this story.
