Nollywood legend, Pete Edochie has urged Nigerian women not to leave their cheating husbands because the African tradition frowns on such behaviours.

According to him, going through multiple divorces and marriages don’t play out well for Nigerian women.

Making the controversial statement on Instagram, the revered actor whose career spans over four decades, even cited King Solomon who had 300 wives and 700 concubines the substantiate his point.

We are sure it’s only a matter of time before feminists and other women who have suffered abuses in their marriages sprout out to vehemently criticize his assertion. He said in the video;

“If you think the husband is leaving the house to go and have an affair outside, put a packet of condom in his pocket.

Psychologically, he’s gonna think, ‘this woman has my interest in her’. If it is his intention to stray, he’ll pull himself together.”
