The slogan on the lips of many Ghanaian ladies in reference to the qualities they look out for in their choice of man is that they want “a God-fearing man”.
The definition of a God-fearing man to most of these ladies is the man who goes to church always, prays the loudest, sings the loudest, preaches the Gospel and ultimately one is if the guy has a gift of prophesying.
It’s at the back of the God-fearing mentality of Ghanaian ladies that lead Pastor at CEM Kumasi Branch, Papa Anaisie Yarquah has come out to tell ladies to be vigilant and more discerning.
According to him in a Facebook post, the fact that someone can preach and prophesy doesn’t make him the ideal marriage material. Pastor Yarquah stressed that marriage is not a pulpit.
“Dear Single Lady: Don’t marry him just because he can preach & prophesy very well. Marriage is not a PULPIT.“, he wrote.
