Dr. Bawumia rewards taxi driver who returned ¢8,000 to market woman with ¢20,000 [Video]

Vice President, Mahammadu Bawumi has presented cash of GHC20,000 to Kwesi Ackon, the Taxi driver who returned GHC8,400 he found in his car to the rightful owner.

The Vice President reached out to journalist Manasseh Awuni Azure who started a fundraiser for the taxi driver after the video of him returning the money and being hailed for his kind act went viral.

According to the report, the market woman who happens to be a fish seller at Mallam Atta Market in Accra boarded the Taxi on Friday evening and forgot an amount of Gh8,000 in the taxi.

The Taxi Driver found the money the next day in his car and out of honesty, went to the house where he dropped off the woman and handed the cash to her.

Touched by the video of the taxi driver and the market woman, Vice President donated GH¢20,000.

According to Manasseh Awuni Azure, two other donors have given GH¢2,500 to be added to what Vice President Bawumia gave.
