Dumping “Akyeame” to become a solo artiste is my very best decision so far – Okyeame Kwame

Most vibrant careers in the area of music are currently dead whiles most are in coma as a result of music groups parting ways for obvious reasons.

We have had disbanded music groups like Dobble, Praye, 4×4, Ruff & Smooth, et Al. But after the individual members parted ways, few have been able to survive as a solo artiste as in the case of Okyeame Kwame.

Okyeame Kwame has said that his happiest decision ever on earth is to part ways with his colleague brother Okyeame Quophi.

When asked by the host, Akwasi Ampofo alias Aboboyaa what he has achieved as a solo artiste, he said;

“Being an independent musician comes with a lot of impacts. Am doing a lot for myself now and I have no regret about it. I am opportune to do a lot of things right now”.

As a reminder, somewhere in 2004, Okyeame Kwame began his solo music career and the rest was history as he snatched the much-coveted Artiste of the Year in the 2009 GMAs.
