Anita Sefa Boakye, the wife of the CEO of Adinkra Pie has reportedly ordered her workers at her Filling Station not to accept mobile money payments because of E-Levy charges.
The implementation of the E-Levy has brought a lot of discomfort among Ghanaians, and business owners forcing many to reject mobile money as a mode of payment.
The first complaint about a business entity was made by radio show host Adakabre Frimpong Manso who stated that the fuel he bought fuel from refused to accept MOMO payment.
This isn’t an isolated incident as some random shops demand the customer to add E-levy charges when making payments for goods and services.
Meanwhile, the deputy minister of Finance, Hon John Kumah has stated that any business entity that will refuse mobile money payment will face the law.
