Edem Agbana, a member of the communications team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sought to correct broadcaster Nana Aba Amnamoah on a post she made about the party.

According to Nana Aba Anamaoah, the NDC party should have invested much in the health sector and improve conditions at various hospitals by providing the necessary equipment and amenities…which could have done Ghana’s health sector a great deal of good.

She insisted that the NDC should not resort to the trumpeting of the #FixTheCountry campaign while they failed to contribute wholesomely to the health sector when they had power.

Nana Aba Anamoah wrote: NDC peeps screaming #fixthecountry Imagine if you had dealt with the low number of ICU beds alone at Korle Bu. Imagine if you had ensured availability of defibrillators at our major hospitals. Imagine oo. Just imagine. You think we’d be here today?

While Nana Aba Anamoah’s post came from the fact that Ghana’s health sector is currently on its needs and unable to save lives, Edem Agbana believes the General Manager of the GhOne TV got it all wrong.

In correcting her, Edem Agbana said the NDC party invested hugely in the health sector by building hospitals and equipping the existing ones but Ghanaians voted them out on the back of the popular notion that “We don’t eat infrastructure.”

He added that if President Akufo-Addo had completed or made functional several hospitals the NDC government had built, the health sector would be better off.

Edem Agbana wrote: Imagine you took time to find out the number of hospitals NDC built.. Imagine you supported JM’s Vision to equip hospitals, instead of joining the ‘WE DON’T EAT INFRASTRUCTURE’.. Imagine you use your platform to ask for all the hospitals built by NDC to be opened… IMAGINE..
