Edwin Arthur Schlossberg is an American designer, author, and artist. Since developing the first interactive learning environment in the United States for the Brooklyn Children’s Museum in 1977, he has specialized in designing interactive experiences. A family of Orthodox Jews welcomed Edwin Arthur Schlossberg into the world on July 19, 1945 in New York City. Alfred I. Schlossberg and Mae Hirsch, both of whom raised him, were sprung from Ukrainian immigrants. The Park East Synagogue, on New York’s Upper East Side, where Ed studied Hebrew and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah, was founded by Alfred, who also served as president.

Schlossberg attended PS 166 in New York and graduated in 1967 from the Birch Wathen School of Columbia University as well as Columbia College.
