Emma Coronel Aispuro’s Marriage
Emma Coronel Aispuro was born to Ines Coronel Barreras and Blanca Estela Aispuro. She spent most of her childhood in La Angostura which is a remote village in Durango.
Emma Coronel Aispuro first met El Chapo in 2006 at a party that was organized by her father.
Soon enough after they’ve got to know each other, the couple got married on July 2, 2007. During their wedding, Emma Coronel Aispuro was only 18 years old, where El Chapo was 53 years old.
In 2012, El Chapo and wife gave birth to twins, Maria Joaquina Guzman Coronel, and Emali Guadalupe Guzman Coronel at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, Los Angeles.
Emma Coronel Aispuro’s Career
Emma Coronel Aispuro participated in 2006 Miss Coffee and Guava competition. At that time, she had already met the then 53-year-old drug lord, Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, who was wanted in U.S. and Mexico.
Emma Coronel Aispuro became the winner of the pageant with 400 of 800 votes. She was crowned Coffee and Guava Queen which also followed her wedding to El Chapo. The crown was passed to first runner up.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s arrest warrant stated their probable cause included evidence of Emma Coronel Aispuro shuttling messages from Guzman to Sinaloa Cartel associates, assisting Guzman’s escape from Federal Social Social Readaptation Center No.1 “Altiplano” in 2015 through bribery and, following his recapture, and helping coordinate another escape attempt aborted following Guzman’s extradition.
