Some Nigerians have expressed shock that their ‘giant’ country was snubbed in favour of Ghana as Twitter establishes its Headquarters in Ghana.
Recall that Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey made the announcement in a tweet on Monday afternoon, April 12.
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo reacted to this news enthusiastically via his verified Twitter platform saying;
The choice of Ghana as HQ for Twitter’s Africa operations is EXCELLENT news. Gov’t and Ghanaians welcome very much this announcement and the confidence reposed in our country. 1/3 #TwitterInGhana #TwitterGhana https://t.co/HdCqFgXK0x

While schooling those who are upset about this new development, the lawyer and social media influencer chided the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for the chaotic situation in the country which has brought them to this level.
He also said Ghana is a haven which is the preferred destination for even Grammy award winners Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Here’s what he tweeted;
“After what @GokadaNG went through in Nigeria, coupled with the ill-advised lawsuit a @MBuhari acolyte filed against them, there is very little chance that a company like @Twitter, or any other nonexploitative Western firm will invest in Nigeria until this regime (of virus) goes
Under @MBuhari, our ease of doing business is so bad that it’s easier for terrorists to get phone lines than law-abiding residents. You can land in Ghana’s Kotoka Airport and get a SIM card at the airport. But a camel has to pass through the eye of a needle to get one in Nigeria.

The truth is that if the @MBuhari regime does not turn a new leaf (almost an impossibility), even Nigerian businesses and brands will be leaving Nigeria for Ghana. Both Dunlop and Michelin left Nigeria for Ghana. Even our Grammy winners @WizkidAyo and @BurnaBoy prefer Ghana.”
