President Akufo-Addo is looking forward to addressing Ghanaians today November 8, 2020, at 8 pm on issues surrounding the fight against the Coronavirus.
This will be the president’s 19th address to the nation since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Ghana in March of this year.
While the Coronavirus-induced restrictions are being made flexible across the country by the president, many fear that there might be a second wave of the virus as Ghana begins to record some new infections.
Currently, Ghana’s Coronavirus case count stands at 48,904 with 320 deaths and 47,611 recoveries/discharges. Meanwhile, Ghana’s active cases stand at 973 with 116 new cases of COVID recorded today.
Experts believe the lackadaisical attitude of most Ghanaians to the strict adherence to COVID protocols is the primary reason there is a surge in the number of new cases been recorded in recent days.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to further ease the restrictions and give out some new instructions on how Ghanaians can help the government combat the spread of the virus.
