Fetish priest at the centre of the Miss Commonwealth Ghana money stealing and beating saga finally breaks silence

The fetish priest at the centre of the just-ended ended Miss Commonwealth beauty pageant juju, money stealing and beating saga has finally broken his silence describing the reportage by various media houses as a false allegation of assault levelled against him.

The fetish priest identified as Togbe Shito whose shrine, situated at Koforidua Kukurantumi in the Eastern region where the incident allegedly happened claimed the young lady, Nana Ama Essien, was not assaulted.

According to what was reported earlier, the 24-year-old Nana Ama was allegedly stripped naked and beaten to pulp in the shrine for allegedly stealing GH¢500.00 from a colleague during the competition.

Ten of the girls who contested the Miss Commonwealth Ghana were allegedly taken to the juju man by the organizer of the pageant, Princess Duncan to force the girls to tell the truth after one of the girls complained that her GH¢500 had been stolen by one of the girls.

In an exclusive interview with Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall host, Mike 2, Togbe Shito denied any wrongdoing, claiming that the lady confessed to stealing the money after some spiritual incantations.

“She begged the organisers for the embarrassment but we did not beat her,” Togbe Shito told Mike 2.

Reacting to the bruises on the victim’s body, Togbe Shito was convinced she might have faked it for public sympathy.

Miss Essien has since been traumatised and is threatening to sue organisers of Miss Commonwealth pageant who hauled her to the shrine.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Miss Commonwealth pageant and the fetish priest who were arrested by the Eastern Regional Police for questioning have been granted bail.
