Fans of Nigerian superstar Wizkid are seething with anger after he failed to appear on stage and dish out songs from his rich repertoire to satisfy them during his publicised concert in Ghana.
The much-touted Wizkid Live Concert in Accra ended in smoke literally after patrons stood for hours waiting for the headliner from Nigeria to come and give them their money’s worth but he was nowhere to be found.
Some attendees and bloggers who attended the event reported that the DJ and MC for the events were left to keep the crowd going for over two hours after local stars like Yaw Tog mounted the stage to perform.
Despite the long wait, Wizkid and the other headline musicians failed to turn up at the concert. Multiple sources online say a lot of people who purchased the tickets are requesting that the musician refunds their money to them.
Ghbase.com understands that Wizkid, albeit unconfirmed, ‘chickened’ out of the event when he realised patronage was very low and he was not able to fill even half of the stadium.
The event was put together by the Finali Entertainment Group, the parent company of Live Hub Entertainment.
Meanwhile, established Ghanaian artists were supposed to back Wizkid for a successful show were R2Bees, King Promise, Eugy, Efya, Darko Vibes, Kelvyn Boy, Gyakie, Yaw Tog, Asaaka Boy, among others.
