#FixTheCountry demo to come off on May 9 after Efia Odo and protestors meet National Security Minister

Contrary to early reports, the much-publicized #FixTheCountry demo will come off as scheduled on May 9 2021.

This was after Efia Odo and the protestors had had a meeting with the National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah.

The meeting between these interest groups came off today Thursday, May 6 2021.

Efia Odo, in updating her fans and followers said she together with the protestors were invited by the National Security Minister but ended up meeting the Minister for Defense, Minister for Interior, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister For Finance.

She confirmed that the demo will come off as scheduled although earlier the police had said they were unable to sanction it.

The Ministry Of Information confirmed the meeting by writing the following on their Twitter timeline:

Earlier today, The Minister for National Security Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, held a meeting with Conveners of a planned demonstration dubbed #FixTheCountry.

In acknowledging the healthy conversation that has been started following a social media campaign, #FixTheCountry, the Minister invited the group to explore further dialogue on their concerns.

The conveners in turn expressed their pleasure at the invitation and the level of seriousness with which their concerns have been taken by government. The Minister and the group agreed to dialogue further.
