Memunatu Suleman, a former goalie for the Black Queens, has made a startling admission about her history.
She says that in 1999, her grandmother and the team’s head coach worked together to have her twin pregnancies terminated in order to keep her on the Black Queens roster.
When asked about her mother status during an interview with Gideon Okyere Anim on Accra-based Original FM 91.9, the former goalie described her incredible experience.
The now homeless former national athlete gave a detailed account of how she got pregnant just as she was preparing for a big competition.
She was convinced to have an abortion and give up her twins under the persuasion of her grandmother and the head coach in order to secure her spot on Ghana’s team.
Memunatu Suleman has been training the goalkeepers for the Black Maidens of Ghana before to her recent terrible events.
Unquestionably, Memunatu Suleman is one of Ghana’s best female goalkeepers. She worked largely with Fabulous Ladies and had an excellent run with the Black Queens.
She has participated in the African Women’s Championship in 2003, 2005, and 2007 in addition to many FIFA Women’s World Cup competitions, including 1999, 2003, and 2007.
