Former President Rawlings condemns the killing of #EndSars protestors in Nigeria

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has condemned the barbaric act been perpetrated by security officials on protesters in Nigeria which has resulted in the killing of many.

Per reports, Nigerian youths who have been on the streets over a month calling for an end to police brutality are facing severe opposition and life-threatening obstacles from soldiers and other security personnel.

On the back of the growing anxiety that has swept across the entire Africa continent, Former President Rawlings has added his voice to the voices of many Africans to condemn the preposterous act of murder and inflicting of pain on unarmed Nigerian protestors.

In a tweet, he wrote: “My heart goes out to #Nigeria and #Nigerians and I encourage all to move towards non-violent engagement. All conscientious citizens of Africa must condemn the bloodshed and call on all parties to act with integrity…”

Also, President Akufo-Addo who doubles as the Chairman of ECOWAS has broken his silence on the insecurity in Nigeria where #EndSARS protesters are been shot and killed. He has called on President Buhari to do the needful to restore Nigeria to where it was.
