Fuse ODG has announced his intention to build a school in Ghana and refurbish one in Jamaica–a project he wants to embark on with his Jamaican friend. Fuse ODG, who is an Afro Pop artiste and philanthropist, disclosed in his announcement that, the two schools will have a similar curricular and also, there will be frequent exchange programs, to create a strong relationship between the two schools.
Fuse ODG wants to raise £500,000 with his friend and the amount will be split into two for each individual project.
Back in 2007, we teamed up with a charity called Wood World Mission and fundraised to build a primary school, in a small town named Akosombo in Ghana. Over the years, the school has made an incredible impact on not just the students that attend but the broader community.
The first cohort of students should be starting secondary school in September.
But the nearest secondary school is miles away & most families are not able to afford the school fees. We wanted to do something about this. We are linking up the internet to build an affordable, sustainable & local secondary school in the area. —-Portions of his announcement read.
