George Quaye Finally Explains Why Chaterhouse Boss Said Media Should Shun Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale

George Quaye has cleared the air on a statement Charterhouse boss, Madam Theresa Ayoade made that has drawn anger from the camp of Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy.

In a recent media interaction with the media, Madam Theresa Ayoade said it’s time the media channels its energy and attention on other artists and shun Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

She said: “Can you as the media help the industry rise above these two? Let’s rise above these two and let the industry breathe and move on. Sarkodie won artiste of the decade and nobody even talked about it. The industry is bigger than these two artistes and that what I want you to go back with. There are lots of young people who need the opportunity so let’s move on,” she said at a press conference.”

Like we indicated earlier, the comment has not gone down well with both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who reacted with venom (characteristically of Wale).

But former Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) has clarified on Hitz FM that the comment madam Theresa made was taken out of context.

“At a point, it almost became an argument at the auditorium, for almost an hour two artiste, so within that context, the woman spoke and said look, let us all come together and let us rise above them…”, George Quaye explained.
