Ghana’s most fearsome Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has told former President Mahama that he would be met with brutal force if he had tried to incite his supporters to cause disturbances in the country.
These comments by the cantankerous MP for Assin Central was made when John Mahama sent the strongest warning yet to the government to resist any attempt to subvert the sovereign will of the people after Monday’s elections.
“We will resist any attempt to subvert the sovereign will of the people”, John Mahama warned at NDC’s press conference prior to EC’s declaration of the results.
But speaking on a television programme, Hon Kennedy Agyapong made it emphatic that if Mahama had incited violence, “we will meet you with force”.
“Try and see,” he dared the former President.
