The Ghana Police Service had to, as a matter of necessity, pull down the social media post celebrating the IGP, James Oppong-Boanuh on Father’s Day.

The post which was made on the official Facebook page of the Ghana Police Service incurred the wrath of Ghanaians which reflected in the barrage of criticism, leg-pulling and insults hurled at the IGP.

Many expressed their reservations towards the Police and especially the IGP for a comment he made after the bullion van attack at Jamestown saying Ghana is not Heaven to record zero cases of crime.

The IGP has also been in the news in recent days as many call for his resignation following reported cases of armed robbery especially in the daylight which has culminated into a growing sense of insecurity amongst citizens.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going but in this instance, the Ghana Police Service could not stand the heat from Ghanaians and had to pull down a post that was supposed to celebrate the leader of the service.
