The ‘unexpected reunion’ between the two bitterest enemy in our music industry, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy continue to dominate mainstream headline and the answer to this is not far-fetched.
The pair have indulged the fiercest rivalry ever and it reached a boiling point at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards where Stonebwoy pulled a gun to ward off possible attack from Shatta Wale who was advancing to the stage right after the Bhim Nation president won the Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year.
The unbelievable spectacle caused the live programme to be halted for almost an hour whilst some dignitaries and patrons fled for their dear lives.
Well all is in the past now as news anchor, Nana Aba Mcbrown and one Dr. Kofi Abban initiated the peace process which brought the two back. The new development has excited lots of music lovers in Ghana and beyond.
Ghanaian footballer, Thomas Partey has also expressed his happiness for the reconciliation has literally begged the two of them to compose a song for the Black Stars ahead of the AFCON tournament.
Just after Stonebwoy shared the photo of himself and Shatta Wale on his Instagram handle, Partey who couldn’t hide his joy wrote, “Now some song for the Black Stars both of you.”
It will be great if they go ahead to record a massive jam for the national team as they prepare for the tournament which comes up later this month in Egypt.
