Yesterday was a memorable day for citizens of the United States of America as history was made when Kamala Harris emerged as the first Black- Asian Female Vice President of the United States.
This pronouncements got the former President and flagbearer of the NDC , John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Prof Jane Naana Agyemang to congratulate Joe Biden, the president-elect of the United States of America.
This angered a lot of Ghanaians who felt Mahama was fantasising over an impossible dream.
According to majority of Ghanaians in the comments session on a Facebook post by Mahama, Joe Biden’s win doesn’t automatically mean the opposing NDC party will also come into office in the December elections which is a few days away.
Some of them accused him of being a fraudulent leader involved in a lot of scandals to think of ever becoming a President again.
When we take a critical look at history of Ghana and the United States’ election, since 1992, anytime the Democratic Party in the United States wins, the NDC in Ghana also wins at the polls.
Consequently, anytime the Republican Party in the United States loses, the NPP in Ghana also loses at the polls. This is probably the reason the NDC is hopefully of a possible win.
