In the face of the severe uproar that has greeted the introduction of new taxes by the government, Kennedy Agyapong calling on Ghanaians to support the government to succeed.

According to him, Ghanaians must move away from depending on the government for their lives. He stressed that any individual who depends on the government will never succeed.

Speaking on NET2 television last night, the Assin Central MP said he is ready to support the government by paying his taxes and giving out money. He believes when citizens come together to support the government, collective success would be achieved.

We cannot always depend on the government for everything. Any individual who depends on the government for everything will not succeed. We need to take out destiny into our own hands,” he said.

In other news, the government through the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has announced that Ghanaians will need to pay for all the COVID freebies they enjoyed through new taxes.
