Ghanaians on social media have reacted to Adwoa Safo’s American accent after granting an interview with Joy FM on her continued absenteeism from Parliament.
Embattled Gender Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has for the past months refused the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s overtures to return to Parliament over claims that she wants to the made the Deputy Majority Leader.
Constant attempts to make the Member of Parliament return to her formal duties has proven futile causing her co-MPs to chastize her.
It was revealed that her absenteeism seriously affected the Majority side and its ability to do government business in the House, particularly the E-levy, which had not been officially tabled since last year.
In a recent interview with Joy FM addressing her invitation by Privileges Committee of Parliament over her continued absenteeism from the House, one thing was clear about her diction which caught the attention of Ghanaians on social media.
According to her, she had not received any letter from the Privileges Committee of Parliament and she is only hearing about it from the journalist who was interviewing her.
Her accent has totally changed and though she addressed the issue very well, all the attention was on the dialect she used during the interview with Joy FM.
