Some Ghanaians have taken to Twitter to share their experiences regarding the newly rolled out Electronic levy despite the overwhelming opposition

The government says every mobile transaction above ¢100 will attract a 1.5% deduction starting from Sunday, 1 May 2022. In this regard, some Ghanaians have detected anomalies with the taxing system and have expressed their disappointment already.

One tweep observed that he was deducted %1.25 for both transaction fee and tax for an amount of ¢5 which is clearly contrary to the stipulated charge.

Another one also said he was charged 1.25% for an amount of ¢1 transfer.
