Ghanaians Stranded In UK To Be Evacuated On June 17- Only If They Can Pay Their Own Tickets And Hotel Bills

Information from the Ghana High Commission in the UK says Ghanaians in the UK will be flown back to Ghana and be ‘forced’ to go on quarantine starting from June 17.

notice published by the High Commission on Wednesday, June 10, said those who are interested should also bear in mind that once they arrive in the country, they will pay their own hotel bills while in quarantine.

It said the negotiated discounted rates for the hotels were GH₵500 at the Airport View Hotel and GH₵600 at the Alisa and Marriot Hotels.

It added that eligible nationals who were willing to bear the cost of travel should submit their details to the Ghana High Commission by Friday, June 12.
