RuffTown Records new signed act, Fantana after releasing her first single a month ago which she titled “So What” released her second single yesterday titled ‘Girls Hate on Girls’ which talks about women not being friendly to other women.
The song talks about how women, in general, go through a lot in life due to the lack of unity among them.
In every walk of life, be it music, politics or corporate society, women take the least portion or position.
This song is a means to empower women to come together and stand in unity has been criticised by another Ghanaian singer, Efe Keyz who has said in an interview with Sammy Flex on the ‘Showbiz Agenda’ today, that the notion, ‘girls hate on girls’ is erroneous.
According to the ‘Juju’ singer, she said contrary to Fantana’s point, girls are actually friendly to other girls when approached.
In her assertion, people come to this conclusion because of their own preconceived thoughts.
“This is what happens, I’m a girl. When you meet another girl, you immediately start to think that they hate you because of what you are thinking. Be nice to them and see. But then if you are sitting there and not approaching them and you want them to be the one to approach you then obviously.
“It’s natural: you’re beautiful, they’re also beautiful so obviously everybody wants to be a queen so put your queenly whatever away and go and approach them and see if they won’t be nice to you. Girls we don’t hate on girls. Women, we love women.”
“My friends I support them, they’ve supported me too,” she concluded
