Despite the country’s present issues, Ghanaian gospel artist Diana Asamoah is optimistic about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects of keeping power for a third term.
She understands Ghana’s economic challenges and other issues, but she is confident in the NPP’s capacity to gain another term.
Diana Asamoah has also advised Ghanaians to be patient with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while he implements policies to solve the country’s economic difficulties and enhance its fortunes.
When questioned whether the NPP will be able to break the 8, she said, “It shall come to pass, and God will help us [NPP] to break the 8 and continue the governance in Jesus’ name!”
“With the rate of the dollar, God has been good to us because the entire world was battling COVID-19, so hardship exists everywhere,” she noted. We are currently working hard to restore the economy.
“The foreign countries are using revenue from taxes to improve the country. In Ghana, if you decide to tax the people, the way and manner they would insult the government. I pay taxes all the time. So Ghanaians should exercise patience for the government to put measures in place to stabilize the economy.”
