It is a common practice these days for people to poke their noses into how others make decisions pertaining to their finances and what they decide to buy for themselves. Toke Makinwa believes this shouldn’t be the case .
The Nigerian radio personality, lifestyle entrepreneur and author believes that grown-up adults should be financially wise enough to make their own choices, adding that any repercussions arising out of their decisions are absolutely up to them, hence the need for them to be left alone.
According to Toke Makinwa, whatever one desires; be it bags, jewellery, cars etc, one should be allowed to get it for themselves.
She further opined that, so long as people, in spending their own money to acquire anything for themselves, are not begging anyone for money, it is imperative that they are left alone.
She wrote on Twitter: “Let people breathe, If a bag is what they wants now let them buy it, for some it might be jewelry, cars etc, a grown adult should be financially wise to know to make their own choices, if they go broke, it’s on them. So long as they not begging you for money, let people live”.
