Guru is without a shred of doubt, one of the most consistent artists over the last decade with back to back hits registered in his name.
However in recent times, his effort has waned leading to speculations that he’s struggling to make a hit song.
In response, he told Kwame Oboadie on Adom TV that he’s not struggling as people think but just taking his time, adding that he’s not enthused about hit songs lately.
He also revealed for the first time that he’s more interested in helping up and coming artists so they could also take the spotlight in mainstream entertainment.
He said:“Oo it’s not that i’m struggling to release a hit song. I laughed so hard when people claim Guru is struggling to get a hit song. Just check the records, i’m one of the few artistes to release back-to-back hit songs here in Ghana”.
“Hit song is one of the cheapest thing to get in the life of a musician, hit songs can be engineered if people don’t know. I’ve released so many hit songs and because of that i don’t fancy getting hit songs these days.
Now, i’m more concentrated on helping and bringing out other talents. Getting hit songs no longer my priority for now.”
