Rapper Guru has recounted how some folks wrongly accused him of being a cyber fraudster (known in our local parlance as sakawa or game boy) after he purchased his first car at an early age.

The serial hit maker told ace broadcaster, Abeiku Santana on Atuu TV programme which is aired on United Television (UTV) that he bought his first car from the ‘Kasiebo’ song he had with Obrafour a decade ago.

“When I featured Obrafuor in ‘Kasiebo’, I bought my personal car. It was one of these Corolla cars. When I was balling in town with the car, I was accused of money rituals,” he said.

Guru further bemoaned the erroneous perception people have about young men and women who live affluently, thinking they made it through rituals.

“Here in Ghana, everyone feels that any young man living a financially stable life is involved in fraud, but that isn’t always the case. The economy we live in makes it difficult for a young person to even buy a bicycle; so when you are driving a car, then you have a problem,” he concluded.
