Danish goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel has laughed off the famous saying “It’s Coming Home” used by the Three Lions of England anytime they set out on a global tournament.
The Danish goalkeeper in their pre-match conference was asked what it would mean for Denmark to stop football ‘coming home’ with victory over England in their Euro 2020 semi-final at Wembley on Wednesday and Schmeichel was quick to throw back a question to the journalist.
“Has it ever been home? I don’t know, have you ever won it?” the Leicester goalkeeper said, before being reminded of 1966 where he replied to the journalist again; “Was that not the World Cup?
It’s really funny how Kasper Schmeichel playfully took aim at England ahead of Wednesday’s Euro 2020 semi-final showdown.
“To be honest, I haven’t given any thought to what it would mean to stop England more than what it would do for Denmark.
“To be honest, I’ve focused very little on the England national team. It doesn’t really mean anything to me.
Kasper Schmeichel has won the Premier League and the FA Cup just like his dad and he's looking to add the European Championship as well.
Before that, a little bit of trolling. 😏 pic.twitter.com/610FFchS6i
