“He’s nowhere to be found” – Mahama mocks Bawumia over the cedi depreciation

He has slammed Vice President Dr. Muhammadu Bawumia for his silence on the situation of the economy and the apparent suffering of Ghanaians (NPP).

In opposition, Bawumia had slammed Mr. Mahama as an inept leader whose bad management had caused the cedi to lose value against the dollar.

When the NPP came to power, he promised to “arrest the dollar” and stabilize the cedi against inflation.

Mahama insulted the loudmouth veep who lambasted his administration and promised Ghanaians bliss on earth.

He joked that the Vice President couldn’t jail the dollar as he promised, but that the dollar had arrested Bawumia.

The individual who stated he had arrested it rather than the daily price hikes and gasoline price changes. The dollar has him in custody. We can’t locate him. We’ll ask the IGP for the key to locate our Vice President,” he remarked.

“We have united at a difficult period for our country. The Akufo-Addo led administration came to office on the basis of mouth-watering promises to improve Ghanaians’ lives and assure speedy growth of our nation. We are in the midst of the worst economic crisis in four decades.

“We all recall the mouth-watering promises, particularly the present President’s vow to change Ghana in 18 months.”
