Hot Audio: Ghanaians who call marijuana as “Obonsam tawa” will go straight to hell – Ras Kuuku

Cannabis has long been an issue in Ghana. With several European countries legalizing it, Ghana’s stance on the issue remains dangling.

Although several celebrities in Ghana including Blakk Rasta, Stonebwoy, John Dumelo, et Al. have poised for the legalization of marijuana.

Perhaps the reason majority of Ghanaians have coined several names to describe or call the illegal herbs. As we speak, marijuana is also called, tampi, wee, taaba as well as obonsam tawa.

Ras Kuuku, reggae cum dancehall artiste, in a virtual interview with DJ JoeCoe of Gifts FM fame over the weekend made it emphatic that Ghanaians who call marijuana in Twi as “Obonsam tawa” will go to hell straight.

Explaining further, Ras Kuuku noted that all herbs including marijuana were created by God not Satan. Therefore, to call marijuana as “Obonsam tawa” means that Satan created it and God won’t be happy to see one attributing His works to someone else.
