Nigerian man, Chidimma Amedu made ‘history’ on social media when he posted an advert for marriage on Facebook and got married within seven days after a lady by name Sophy Ijeoma responded to it.
The story went viral, prompting many to doubt it initially. Amedu posted the advert on 30 December, 2017 asking any woman interested in being his wife to reply. He also said he was ready to tie the nuptials knots on 6 January, 2018.
Am of age and I am ready to say I do and am wasting no time. “Send in your applications – the most qualified will be married on January 6, 2018. Application closes 12 midnight, 31/12/2017.
However a new twist to this story, it has emerged that the couple might have lied about the alleged proposal and how they met on social media.
Photos of the newlyweds out on a date days before the alleged proposal date which was on Saturday, December 30, have surfaced. The photos were shared on Instagram after it was discovered that the two lovebirds had gone on a date on Sunday, December 3.
Contrary to what they told BBC, that they only met after the famous advert Amedu placed on Facebook, the pair actually met and went out on December 3.
