Elvis Aron Presley, also known as Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on 8th January, 1935. Elvis Presley was supposed to be a twin but unfortunately, his brother, Jesse Garon was stillborn. Elvis Presley was a rock ‘n’ roll music artiste who has made a tremendous contribution to the world of music.

On 16th August, 1977, Elvis Presley died at the age of 42. Reports stated that, the cause of his death was heart failure. Later, it was ruled that, Elvis Presley’s death was closely related to prescription drug use. After his passage, he was buried on the Graceland Property near his mother’s gravesites.

Elvis Presley had his first guitar at the age of 11 in the year 1946. His music career started off as a young boy when he won the talent show in his school Humes High School located in Memphis. He graduated in the year 1953. After his graduation, he worked at several places while still trying so hard to pursue his dream of becoming a musician.

 

Elvis Presley’s Marriage

Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu tied the knot in the year 1967 when his career was seriously booming. In the course of the marriage, they were blessed with a daughter whose name was Lisa Marie Presley after a year of marriage.

Meaning, Lisa Marie was birthed somewhere in 1968. Elvis Presley’s marriage started to quiver in the early 1970s. Finally, the couple successfully divorced in the year 1973 and Lisa’s mother, Priscilla was given custody of their daughter, Lisa Marie.

 

Career

Elvis Presley was on top of the game when he released Mystery Train in the year 1955. His first hit song to make it to the Hot 100 was Heartbreak Hotel, a song he recorded in the year 1956. That song held stiffly to its position for a good 7 or the 27 weeks it went on the music chart.

Heartbreak remained on top of the country charts and even became a solid symbol of his ability to mix up rhythm-and-blues to country music. It was as if the 1950s was specially made for Elvis Presley. He released hit tracks like;

Elvis Presley was famously tagged with the King of Rock ‘n’ Rock from the early 1950s to the 1980s. He made an incomparable contribution to American famous culture in all aspects of his life; dressing, behaviour, hairstyles etc. John Lennon later noticed the prominence of Elvis Presley as one of the vital influences on the Beatles. With his kind of music, he made a total of 136 gold records of which he sold over 500, 000 and also made a sum of 10 platinum records and ends up selling over 1 million copies.
