Mother’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that mothers and mother figures make to the lives of their children. This day celebrates motherhood and female parenting.
Yesterday day was International Mother’s day and as usual, every Ghanaian celebrated his/her mom in a special way. While others treated to a party and outings, others decided to post images of their mom together with them.
Others were throwback while others were recently taken photos. It was indeed a day to behold and our Ghanaian celebrities were not left out as they also sent goodwill messages to their mothers.
These celebrities in the creative arts industry and in the media celebrated their mothers on their various social media platforms.
See how some of them celebrated their mother’s below:

Today, more than anything I appreciate that my mother is still here and very present in my life. I recognize that it’s a privilege and blessing many don’t have. So as I laugh and make more memories with her, I remember all the mothers who’re not with us anymore; especially their loved ones left behind. As we celebrate I know they can’t share in our excitement and this day only serves as a reminder of their absence. I pray you find comfort in the memories you shared and know that they’ll forever remain in your hearts no matter where they are. I have only two Children but I even sometimes get tired and wish to give up. My Mum raised 5 of Us with such dedication love and care that I wonder if She was a magician or a miracle worker. She woke up every day to cook, clean and get us ready for school before 6:30am every week day. She returned from work at 4:30pm every day to cook, watch us while we play and protect us from bullying Boys and Girls in Fante New Town. She will feed us and assist Us to finish our homework without complaints and now beg our Papa to allow Us to watch some tv before we sleep. These were the daily troubles that we put our Mum through which were visible. Now invisible things like the little quarrels with Our father to put us in the right schools, buy us the trendy clothes and support our not soo necessary hubbies like Red Cross club membership dues etc . Most importantly She stayed with My Daddy’s Cowardly polygamous behaviour for sooo many years because She wanted Her Children to have balanced parenting. Herrr! My Mum Alice Nsiah Bota is on top of My Most spirited Human award list . She screamed at the stupidity in My heart. Whipped the nonsense out of My actions and Pray to God Constantly to keep Me safe and give me grace . I can Go on and on about My Mama because She is Special like every other loving Mama in the World working Hard to support their OWN . Love U Mum . (Ena ye sunsum )Happy Mama Day. #HappyMothersDay #MothersDay
