How The African Dancehall King Was Saved By Burna Boy In Nigeria When Things Was Getting REAL Bad (Video)

We guess, you’ve heard Zylofon Media and Menzgold had their Invasion concert in Nigeria just this part Friday to launch their business in the country. They took all of their artistes and some others to Nigeria to perform at this Invasion concert.

Well, the concert which was held at the Eko Convention Center also witnessed some big Nigerian acts like Olamide, Burna Boy, Phyno, Simi all performing on the night.

For the first time, Shatta Wale performed in Nigeria as the African Dancehall king and from several videos we saw online, it’s obvious the Nigerians do not know majority of our songs and refused to react or engage with all of our musicians who performed on the stage that night.

For anyone who’s watched Shatta Wale performed on any stage in Ghana, you would agree that he’s a real entertainer and brings excitement to the audience as everyone, screams his name, sing along his songs and give him all the attention that he deserves as an A-list artiste but the case was different this time around in Nigeria and suffered same fate as Stonebwoy in Nigeria.

Shatta Wale came on stage, was jumping with all of the energy, performing his best song but the Nigerians refused to sing along, blink an eye and just stared at him like they’ve never heard his name–At that moment, our Shatta Wale was just like an upcoming musician trying soo hard to impress the audience but he was fortunate, he has a big song with Nigerian artiste Burna Boy.

All was slow for the African dancehall artiste until Burna Boy joined him on stage to perform their hit song ‘Hosanna’ then the crowd started screaming for him. This time, no fan was interested in touching Shatta Wale, they were all gaga about Burna Boy.

But in all of it, we’ve learned some lessons and we believe things would get better if our artistes would stop being complacent and stop fighting for titles when they’ve not really earned it yet.
