‘I Been Thinking About Them A Lot’- Singer Simi Reacts After Omah Lay And Tems Were Released

Simi has reacted to the release of Nigerian singers Tems and Omah Lay who were arrested in Uganda after they headlined a concert in the country.

Ugandan police claim the duo violated Covid-19 protocol and were detained in the cell since Sunday, December 13, 2020.

The issue has generated a lot of debate on social media as other Nigerian musicians rally for the Nigerian government to intervene. This was after Omah tweeted that he was being treated like a criminal after which photos of him being handcuffed with Tems surfaced online.

Fortunately, the pressure mounted on the Ugandan government has yielded results as the two entertainers were finally released, a development confirmed by Mr.Eazi in an earlier report we published. Simi also swiftly reacted immediately after their release by saying,

I hear Tems and Omah Lay are finally being released. I hope it’s true. I been thinking about them a lot since yesterday. Traumatizing experience in a foreign land…
