Ghanaian songstress Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel has disclosed that she once pronounced somebody dead under the influence of alcohol.

Mzbel shot to fame in the early 2000s when she released a series of bangers with ’16 years’ been one of her biggest hits.

In an interview with Pulse Ghana, the “Awoso Me” hitmaker revealed that the worst thing she attempted under the influence was that she broke a hoax, announcing the death of her friend’s mother even though she was alive and strong.

According to her, she called her friend whom she gave her name as Kelly who was buying food for her and announced her mother’s death.

Her friend didn’t take the news lightly and drove straight to Mzbel’s house with uncontrollable tears.

Narrating the incident, Mzbel said: “I called a friend of mine and announced his mother’s death. He explained later that he was buying food for me when he received the call from me.”

“He said soon after the call, he called his siblings and mother, but no one answered so he believed it. He was closer to my house, so he came home straight while crying.”

“He then asked who announced his mother’s death, but I couldn’t answer him because I was drunk. We drove to his house and met his mother, but I asked him not to reveal what happened.”
