Reminiscing past events, it looks like Kumawood is becoming a rehearsal grounds for wannabe actors and actresses. The reason being that those who desire to delve into acting keep pointing fingers at the Kumasi movie industry as the place they want to groom their acting skills.
Similarly to KiDi of Lynx Entertainment fame, he desires to be given the opportunity to star in Kumawood film. Speaking to SVTV Africa, KiDi revealed that he stared in the “Sugar” movie because it’s his upcoming album but aside music, he has the talent for acting and if given the opportunity he would showcase his acting skills provided the script is good.
“You see in life every day, you go through things and discover new parts of yourself, so during this phase, I actually discovered that I’m not bad in acting. If the opportunity opens for me I can add it to music.
“Kumawood is actually a prestigious industry and I won’t mind if the script is right and the plan is nice, I wouldn’t mind”, KiDi said.
On records, Adina Thembi, Moesha, others have all expressed interest in staring in a Kumawood film whenever the opportunity presents itself. More importantly, the musician under scrutiny is currently working on releasing his maiden album “Sugar” which promises to be a masterpiece.
