‘I don’t need anything from the NPP gov’t when I finally pass away” – Maame Dokono cries over neglect

Grace Omaboe Nortey aka Maame Dokno said it will be a futile effort on the side o the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to watch her die before they run helter-skelter to express cosmetic show of love to her.

According to the 74-year-old veteran actress, she does not need anything from the government even after she dies because they neglected her at a point where she needed them most.

In an exclusive interview on Onua FM, an Accra-based Twi-speaking radio station, Maame Dokono, who campaigned for the NPP in the leadup tot he 2016 elections, said:

“Nobody from the New Patriotic Party visited me when I was not feeling well,” she stated.”

It is not about money. It can be just a flower and I will appreciate it but nobody visited me.”

“Now that I’m alive if you don’t honour me, nobody should come and give [me] big money,” she bemoaned.

Maame Dokono also extended a pound of appreciation to actress Diamond Appiah for gifting her a car at her birthday party.
