"I invested more than $10,000 into the award. Sarkodie did not pay anything" – Dr Fordjour defends 'fake' UN awards

According to Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour, organizer of the highly controversial UN awards, he invested a whopping $10,000 into the award scheme and did not receive any monetary favours from rapper Sarkodie.

In a video shared on social media, the man who has come to be known as Dr UN refuted rumours that Sarkodie paid to have the award. He stressed that everything was funded from his pocket without any assistance.

I used my money, I used more than $10,000 to invest in this award. Sarkodie never paid anything. Ask him, I like him, I don’t think he can lie. I have not even asked for a donation from Sarkodie,” he said.

In reacting to the ‘scammer’ tag that has placed on him and the awards he issued, Dr UN said that irrespective of all the namecalling and derogatory remarks heaved against him, he still holds on to the firm conviction that the award scheme was, and is, legitimate.

” Those that know me in London and the U.S know that I am the man to do this. Their terms don’t define what is intellect. Their terms, fraudster and scam, those words do not define my PhD nor global studies,” he said.
